Crean Lutheran is top seeded in Division 2 for the CIF girls beach volleyball championships that begin this week. The Saints (16-0 overall) won the Crestview League title this season.
Crean Lutheran hosts Sage Hill in the opening round on Thursday, April 18 at 3 p.m.
Crean Lutheran captured the inaugural championships, defeating Capistrano Valley 3-2 in last year’s final.
Oaks Christian is seeded second, Long Beach Wilson third and Campbell Hall fourth in Division 2.
Trinity League champion JSerra is the No. 2 seed in Division 1. Mira Costa is seeded first, Redondo Union third and San Marcos fourth in Division 2. JSerra has a bye in the opening round.
There are 71 teams entered in the championships, which will conclude with the finals on Saturday, April 27 at Long Beach City College.
