Top-seeded UC Irvine is facing No. 5 Long Beach State Friday night in the semifinals of the Big West Men’s Basketball Tournament at Honda Center.
The Anteaters rallied for a 75-67 victory to advance into Saturday’s championship game.
The winner goes on to face the winner of the other semifinal game between Cal State Fullerton and UC Santa Barbara. That game starts at 9 p.m. and is scheduled to be shown live on ESPN-U. The Long Beach State-UCI game is scheduled to be shown on tape delay later on ESPN-U.
UCI is trying to reach the NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history.
The winners of the semifinals move on the championship game Saturday at 9 p.m. at Honda Center.
