Nolan Folsom of Crean Lutheran carries the ball in Friday’s game.
Crean Lutheran’s football team recorded its third win out of the gate, defeating California Military Institute 38-14 Friday night at Irvine Stadium.
Sophomore Nolan Folsom led Crean Lutheran with 181 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.
The Saints’ top defensive player was Tom St. George, who had four tackles, one for a loss, one assisted tackle, two forced fumbles and four sacks.
“To this point in the season, our team has done everything we have asked them,” said Coach Randall Reynoso. “We continue to make strides of improvement, as we are very young and inexperienced at several positions.
“As we are still learning the schemes in all three phases of the game, we continue to focus on the things we can control; preparation and effort.”
